Does Traffic Exchanges Really Help To Get Traffic??
"I am using more than 9 Traffic Exchanges for promoting my one web url only but i'm not getting quite response and most of the signups i got are only from LinkReferral. I heard that use should use splash pages for promoting your web pages but then also not much for me. So please tell me does thses TEs really help or everybody is just surfing to get credits?? And if yes then please help with where I am wrong in promoting my webpage.. Thanks in advance.." |

I was wondering the same thing. I know that when I clicked on links I did take the time to look around the site if it interested me. My main purpose is to get people to my site but I will look around other sites too!

But just one thing to share. Having lots of traffic is one thing but able to convert it is totally another thing though you can't separate the two.

My traffic has increased using Linkreferral. Like most of you I wonder if people are surfing just to get traffic to their own site because I have not seen an increase in products purchased since joining. I would however suggest Myspace as a marketing tool. Design a fun hip myspace page that can direct people to your website is a must. You can also search for friends within specific categories to maximize your target audience (rather than just friends that wont be interested in what you do). This has been very helpful for me! Well getting traffic is one thing- making sales is another one. If you have just built your site and want higher ranking from Alexa for example, any hits will do- as the more hits you get, the more down your alexa ranking goes and online users trust your site. However, I would not recommend spending your day on TE. Maybe for a starter choose two and then mix with other marketing tools. The mistake people make is to think that users will automatically buy from you once you have a website. PATIENCE is key- if you're not, you're just going to be another has-been. Do not try and compare your site with a 10 years old site doing rather well. For example your competitor is having 1000 real visitors a day, while you barely having 5. Shut your windows, look around and work constantly on your strategies- one day you will get there. Microsoft was not built overnight, nor Google- It takes hard work and discipline.

Totally agree with Membe above. Hits do help but will not necessarily bring you sales as just hits are not searching for anything specific from you. Targeted traffic is much harder to get. Start promoting the usual way locally and then expand with luck!

Link referral works for me as well. While perhaps 90% of clicks are for less than a couple of seconds(try putting tracking code at the end of the first post and after the </body> tag(which is where it should be for true results). The statistics will be very different showing how many people were on the site long enough for it to fully load. The quality of my reviews on Link Referral show that some people do read my site.

They definitely work, you have to be willing to surf each one of them a fair amount of time, and some works better than others. Pick a few, surf them for a while and see which gives you the best traffic. I am using 4 TE now and get at least 5000 unique visitors per month. Obviously it is going to depend on your product if any of these visitors will turn into a sale. Because lets face it, most people use TE to generate credits to exchange for traffic to there site, so they are visiting your site not because they are interested in your product but to acquire credits. That’s why your home page must really be able to catch their attention, so that they would look twice instead of just clicking

Last month my Alexa ranking was 5,500,000 today is 565,000. When you search in Google the products that I offer, 15 day ago I was in the position 12,000 yesterday in the 750. I hadn't sold anything in in the last 3 months. Yesterday I got a sale. The only difference between last month and last week is Traffic exchange. In other words I'm becoming easier to find by my real clients. I used 5 different traffic exchanges. I receive 250 visitors a day.

Well so far for me the most thing that gets traffic is writing some articles in famous sites. for ex. in development I write on CodeProject and C-SharpCorner nevertheless I'm new to this referral thing so I'm not sure about its traffic grabbing. but I'll wait and see :) |

I find from the stats page on my site that most of the surf for traffic visitors usually do not stick around long usually see 1.5 pages at best. Shows up in traffic numbers but not much else. I did find one that has a cash payout every 50 to 52 pages. I have it in my mail and if anyone wants the address mail me and I will send it to you. webmaster@monystreet.com

TE's are good if you are offering a tools that people want. I dont find TE's as effective for offering your primary program as most on TE's are already home business owners.

Will it help you get traffic? Yes. Will it be the traffic you want, or traffic that actually stays on your site to check it out, click on your ads and or buy your products/services? Probably not. But the whole idea, and hope is that you'll get that 1 in 10 visitor that will check out your site that would've not otherwise visited your site. If your 50% increase in traffic gives you just a 3% increase of targeted traffic, its worth it and then go for it. But my biggest issue with traffic exchanges, is that you do get an increase in traffic, but since the majority doesn't stay more than a few seconds, your BOUNCE rate shoots into the stratosphere. Increasing your traffic by 50%, for a result of jacking your bounce rate to 95% is NOT a good result or going to really help you promote your site or sell your wares. If they only stay less than 30 seconds on your site, than whats the point, and is it worth the effort? So be careful, exchange sits do work, but at what cost to your actual conversion rate and end result in less than targeted viewers?

I agree, sometimes i will take the time to look if i am interested others times i just want credit, but i started 3 days ago and got 67 visits but only 2 people referred to my site...so obviously others do the same...

Work a little bit daily, about an hour for manual surfing. People have to view your site and have to wait for the timer to click for next site. Social sites also good because they have their own communities. I made a review on MeBudie where it has 2 in one advantages (social sites plus traffic exchange); and trafficstorm4u (traffic exchange using hover plus earn money surfing). Just look for similar programs like these two where you gain something EXTRA in return instead of hoping only traffic to your site. Best wishes - Empayarutama
