Lousy Reviews
"link referral should reign on lousy reviewers! somebody reviewed my site -- gave me an all-thumbs up on all issues; wrote a positive review but gave my site a "4"???? what gives? these lousy reviewers should be kicked out of link referral. they're just doing it without even thinking! " |

In my experience, the kind of reviewers who drag down your ratings are probably sitting in an internet cafe in Mumbai or Jakarta, clicking on sites just to fulfil their quota and get their spam sites up in the rankings. See a few of my reviews for an example. I'm not sure what you can do about these people, other than taking great care not to visit their sites or do anything else to make their efforts worthwhile.

I've also noticed that the ones leaving the lowest scores are those who have gotten alot of low scores.

No one needs to worry about bad reviews, those that give ridiculous reviews end up getting even worse reviews in return bringing there score way down, and as a result they abandon Linkreferral. I know this because I keep a close eye on the ones that give me as well as others such reviews until they disappear. It is such great satisfaction. What comes around, goes around, so blow off the bad reviews and move on.

true. we all expect some true reviews but unfortunately most of them don't know how the linkreferral works. Putting up some text will generate traffic for them.But in reality that's true atleast in short term.

I have to say yes this does happen from time to time but with my site I've mostly had a positive experience: Sure there are always some members who are in this only for their own benefit but I've found that most of LinkReferral's members give good and valuable reviews. I think those selfish members are nearly everywhere to some degree - I wouldn't worry about it as long as it doesn't hurt your average too much. Greetings, Georg

I get the same type of reviews.. it pulls my average down and I friggin' hate it! Be sure to see who's reviewing you, I get a lot of "Haters" from overseas. They can't even spell right either. Haha! By the way, your site is awesome.

Thank god that i have many reviews with high scores so one or two low score doesn't hurt my overall score. I think link ref should add a link like report user so spammers can get banned faster :D. Another nice way to get back at them to click their adsense ads. Reload the site and do it again and again. Sooner or later he will get banned from adsense. Good reviews to all

I agree. For example, one reviewer told me that my site was really running slowly. It acted fine for me, but on a different computer, it WAS slow. I was able to change a few things and now it's good again (until I once again fill it up -- haha). I think legitimate reviews are helpful. If a review is TOO bad, I thought that it was reviewed by LinkReferral before posting.
