Traffic from LR
"The traffic that is generated by link referral,is from most others trying to get their site out there, ....how much traffic will LR actually draw in that will want our sites services?" |

actually, a lot - each post creates a link - each link leads to ratings and ratings lead to high placement in search - it does not appear to help on the surface - but over time you will see more hits at your site - i just joined your fan club - without LinkReferral i may have never seen your site - exposure is what counts and leads to sales - but you must know your market and then have the products to meet your markets needs - Health, Happiness, Peace, and Positive Perspective - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle

I will be the first to tell you your statement is totally false. Links whether they are from LR or from some other site WILL NOT GET YOU A GOOD SERP PLACEMENT !!!Relevant one way links will increase your google PR # and PR has nothing to do with how your site is placed in the search engines results page. The ONLY WAY to get a good placement within the search engines results page is by proper On Page SEO of each individual site page. Links and reviews, nor traffic will get you there. Your traffic comes from the SERP !!!!!

I haven't found this to be true in my case - I've had some great and 'genuine' traffic from LR - people who've become regular visitors to my blog & who have brought me more traffic in return. Sure, there are some who are only trying to get their site out there, but there is also 'quality' traffic out there being generated by LR

I'm rather new here, and so am learning as I'm going. I'm hoping that the boost in traffic will eventually help my site get noticed by the large search engines, and I have had an increase in sales, whether from linkreferral or not, I do not know for sure, but there has been a definate increase. And yes SEOs should be the major focus, but I'm also thinking about using google adsene, but still hesitant to spend the money!

Traffic from LR or any other traffic site whether it is an auto traffic site or a manual traffic generating site like LR will NOT get you noticed by the SE's. Your traffic comes from the SE's and that is what is counted.

| Quoted from: member_253734 on 2009-10-21 07:57:29 I am very new to this and learning as I go. Could someone please explain to me what the SEO's are that are referenced in the previous posts? |
SEO = Search Engine Optimization. That means, optimizing your individual site pages keyword content for the SE's. Proper density per keyword in your content, clean keyword relevant title, description tags and a strong keyword meta for the smaller SE's.

If without LR, I can't increase my visitors to my site. How much is depend on your smart work and creativity, LR is only a stepping stone for you to increase others to your site.

You aren't selling anything so that makes a very big difference. Those that are selling products do not get many, if any, sales from LR. It is webmasters tool, not a site for selling wares. Following blogs is a different story. AND, by the way, your blog is absolutely wonderful.... can't wait to give it a review and become a follower myself!!

Thank you Michael and Pamela for the explanation. We will have to check our site for these properties!
