There are no directory listing that can guarantee you paying customers. All the traffic exchanges out there will generate traffic for you but your offers have to be of quality to cause your visitors to become paying customers.

There are plenty of ways to generate traffic, but I would say that you have to work hard at it , to achieve long-term results, such as web posting and forum posting as well. As is applicable in most cases nothing is written in stone, however, there is on substitute for hard work!1

Directories are soooo outdated and worthless due to the new Google Penguin Algo. Do the proper optimization on your web pages for the major search engines for a good serp position, then your traffic will convert.... ;)))

The new google algo, Penguin, is out in full force at this time penalizing sites...Forum posting and/or article writing, including directories do not have the same status within the SE's SERP as a few years ago. All forms of linking are under major scrutiny with the new Google Penguin Algo....soooo be careful what you wish for...... Best advice for any site page that wants an excellent SERP position is to do the proper On Page Optimization ( not off page, such as linking). Follow the Google Mother Algo~Panda, rules and also follow the rules enforced by the Panda's side kick algo, Penguin. ;)))

I agree, however, a well written article, posted to a quality web magazine, with a resource box that points to a relevant site will drive quality visitors to that website. The web magazine sends traffic to your site via the content of the article - not due to the search engines looking at "back links" in that web magazine.

Dedication, diligence and a lot of blood, sweat and tears! It takes a while to get real traffic and paying customers to your Website. It took me some time. Just make sure that when you do get those paying customers you treat them right. Be willing to accommodate them to some extent. I'm not saying to allow them to manipulate or scam you, but when you start getting repeats, it’s always good to do whatever you can to keep them happy so they’ll keep coming back for more great merchandise and excellent customer service. And, their word-of-mouth do wonders for your business too! Best Wishes!

Getting traffic to your site is an ongoing battle. Getting paying customers is even worse. Experiment with different keywords. I have started passing out business cards with my site on it and asking people to check out the site and pass the site address to their friends but need to work other methods to get big numbers

Good quality back links to your site are extremely important to your website. Be careful though make sure they relate to your site. If your site is promoting paint its a waste of time having back links from sites promoting fishing.
