Difference between HTML5 and XHTML/CSS?
"Hey, just curious if anyone knows what exactly HTML5 is all about?I took a course 2 years ago on HTML, and then one on XHTML with CSS, and I use that because I thought it was the most recent.. What exactly is HTML5 though?" |

Ah ok, because I really love Xhtml + Css. So HTML5 is older than that? or less future friendly?What about how HTML5 does not need flash, I have heard that somewhere. That true?

What sort of trouble are you having? I took an online course from a college on XHTML/CSS and got 100% on it. It was not super hardcore advanced, but I may be able to help you out, just e-mail me ok.Other than that, you may want to try checking out the W3.(World Wide Web Consortium). They set the standards on all this stuff and have great validation tools to check it your site has any errors that are XHTML or CSS related or whatever. I only use XHTML and CSS myself, love it. I find it extremely useful and time saving.

is it similar to php? I actually couldn't figure out the uses of php, xhtml, mysql and sql.

PHP is a general-purpose server-side scripting language originally designed for Web development to produce or making dynamic Web pages. MySQL Databases allow you to store lots of information in an easy to access manner. The databases themselves are not easily read by humans. MySQL databases are required by many web applications including some bulletin boards, content management systems, and others.
