okay what sql is is structured query language. it's basically how you talk to databases http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL will tell you the theory. PHP is an interpreted programming language which is often used with a webserver and a database to create dynamic pages. In terms of where to start i highly recommend xampp http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html for developing database driven web content. it bundles everything you need for php mysql dynamic content creation in one package. In terms of learning how to use it i'd try webmonkey.com they're easy to follow tutorials can bring you up to speed pretty fast. |
