personally I don't mind pop up advertising as long as I'm getting something in return such as a pay per click pop up like interacivre ads from mybrowsercash.com they pay their members a few cents for each pop up ad they click on

I find it very annoying and even if I like the content on a site, if it uses pop up ads it certainly influence my decision to return again. I visited your site, but I did not notice any pop up ads. Good luck to you.

Not only is pop up advertising annoying, it also can trigger virus programs to reject even showing it so it can be a real waste for the advertiser. An auto playing video can be more effective.

I have used pop up's in the past to pop over a site like Best Buy. Unfortunately there are way too many exit pop's on affiliate splash pages and gets very aggravating. You are trying to view sites and earn credits and can't leave a page. Many times they are infected with malware as well. I personally will not do business with someone that uses exit pop's

I don't mind if it is small and not annoying and flashing up all the time. If its there and you've looked at it and if not interested then can click it away it is ok. Some you click off and several others pop up and crash your pc are not good

Pop-up advertising is pretty much dead in my opinion. It's intrusive and annoying... Try text-links. If you put them in the right locations, they might even pay off more than pop-ups, but you have to have traffic ratings of over 4000 daily visitors.

I am not a fan. I believe in inviting people into your site and giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision. I do not force then to provide their info until they are ready to buy! Cecelia

it's annoying when a site returns so many pop ups. but if you are using a popup plugin, you can limit the number of popups per user. using a lot of popups would bring your traffic to a very low amount.

| Quoted from: IludiumPhosdex on 2012-11-24 14:09:57 Not just annoying--but with some website and weblog hosts, contrary to their Terms of Service. (Read them through carefully if you don't believe me.) |
Another reason to have your own website and hosting, so you don't have to follow the terms of a free one :)

Yes, it can be annoying; especially on a mobile device like an iPhone. I've had larger pop-ups block out the entire webpage and made it difficult to close the pop-up. That discouraged me from staying on their website. I've heard that pop-ups can be very effective though in capturing leads, so don't completely dismiss using them.

I don't mind one pop-up. But I really get annoyed, I mean annoyed big time when there are 4 and 5 pop-ups to click before you can leave a page. That's just me. |

Your site looks good first of all. I did not encounter any pop up ads when I visited it, but I do usually find them annoying. So I would not use them on my sites.
