Giveaway flop... Help?

"What am I doing wrong? I get roughly 300 people a day visiting my site and so far I haven't had anyone sign up for my giveaway. Can someone review it and tell me what I am doing wrong? I feel horrid for my really sweet sponsor!

It seems confusing for the average reader. Most people entering a contest just want to do ONE simple thing, like entering their email, for a chance to win.

You have 7 separate steps listed and each one takes at least a couple minutes to do, such as to go to another site and sign up or subscribe.

Then at the end of the steps, you have "Remember, each time you do the one of the above, tell me you did it with a separate comment." which just made no sense to me. What? Where?? Why??

I'm sure you'd get a couple people going through all the steps, but most will just leave in frustration.

Just being honest. I like your blog personally, but your giveaway needs to be simplified.

I agree with it taking way too much time. I understand the concept of adding to contacts but I believe that I would try something more simple

I am going to try and help you. without personally talking to you it will be a little hard. Here I go.

Are you sure you are getting 300 hits a day and not monthly? Your rankings don't show a 300 unique visitors a day ranking. Maybe 300 pageviews a day? Before you can see what is going wrong you need to analyze your data. Where are the people coming from that visit your site? Is it paid, exchange or organic traffic? Unless, it is organic your conversions won't be high at all if any. Try creating a forum for your site. I think that is a GREAT idea because of the nature of your site. You can get free ones all around the web. As far as conversions, this isn't hard to figure out. You just need to collect all the data of your visitors and their demographics. Where they are coming and going. How long are they staying, where are they going from the main page. I can show you how to configure this data and show you hwo to analyze it and use it to build and grow your business.

Thanks to all! I really appreciate it! I don't know if I'll be doing giveaways on a regular basis, but there are a ton of people who want me to do them and right now, that's the only thing bringing in any income from the site. So it looks like we'll be doing some more in the future.

I will definitely limit the options to only 3 or 4 in the future.

In regards to the amount of traffic I get, I don't know where my rankings are that I don't know about. The average acc. to AWStats is 300 a day, which is not supposed to count bots, is there another place/better way to figure out my traffic? That is the method provided by my host server.

Thanks again to all! Hopefully, my next one will be better!

Try putting statcounter on your site. It will give you more detailed results about your traffic.

I agree with our friends breaking something down and making it simple it what you need. I have found that on my site, if I don't explain every little detail, I will have some folks confussed. I have also found folks don't like to read a whole lot, best to keep it simple.

You need a simplier give away. And you need alot more traffic. The stats show it may take many thousands of visitors to generate one sale or sign up.
