Some of my older pictures were taken with my kodak easyshare - which as the name suggests is easy to use but also economical to buy.

I personally love the Sony Cybershot 7.2 megapixel. The battery lasts forever and it holds tons of pictures on a memory stick duo. You can also plug it into a TV and look at your pictures on the TV. It's great.

Wow, Robyn your pics. are amazing. Super clear for a jewelry site.

I was about to go into some jewelry sites and ask about the kind of camera I need. I need better quality pics too.

Any one got any ideas? I can't afford a extremely high priced digital camera.

I think it depends what you want to use it for and how much you are willing to spend. I got a middle of the road camera that I think is absolutely wonderful for a gift for my birthday for about $700AU. Check out my site for the pictures that I take with it. I am very happy with its macro function and gorgeous clear pics. It is a panasonic with lumix lens DMZ-FZ8.

Good luck with finding the camera best suited to you and with taking gorgeous pics in the future!

It would depend on what you need and what you are going to use it for. I am not very particular about the tech aspects so a point and shoot is fine, I think. And, go with Sony!
